Know my story
Hi, I am Dr. Isha and I am a dentist, MBA in healthcare management and a certified nutritionist (Diploma in nutrition). I was born and brought up in Chandigarh and moved to Indore when I got married. It’s been 4 years since I got married. My husband is also a dentist and we have a 15 months old toddler. My TTC (trying to conceive) journey was the toughest phase I had to go through. I started planning for baby 1 year after my marriage. At that time my periods were bit irregular but I conceived naturally within 4 months of trying. I showed to doctor and it was all good. We were extremely happy and over the moon. I tried to capture every moment through pictures. But since I conceived, I had spotting and we got an ultrasound again at 5 weeks which showed that baby is not in right position and it may be a cornual pregnancy (very rare case). Doctors said to wait as it might grow in uterus as currently it was growing near tube which might be dangerous for me. We waited and I came to Chandigarh by road. It was going fine for next few days, I also got a check up done there and they advised the same. Then suddenly one day I felt strong cramps in my tummy like period cramps. Whole day I was cramping and at night around 1 am, I started bleeding and rushed to hospital with my dad. They gave me injections to stop bleeding but I passed the embryo in hospital’s washroom and I was shattered. My whole world crashed and I was all alone as my husband was in Indore.
Then it was all crying and sadness in this world. After 2 months, I tried to gather some courage and started living my life once again. We went on a foreign trip as well. We started trying again after 3 months and every month it was negative. 1 day I tested early and a faint line came, I was sure I was pregnant and went to doctor. She got blood test done and my beta HCG was less than 5 so I wasn’t pregnant. I cried more than anything that day. Then after a month, I knew it’s not going to work like this. So, I changed my entire lifestyle & thought process. Being a nutritionist myself, I created my own diet plan. I ate healthy homemade food only like all seasonal vegetables & dals. I also changed my mindset & started being optimistic. After 4 months of doing all this, I conceived naturally again but this time I was over cautious. I used to walk slow, climb stairs slowly and get out of bed slowly. Before every scan, I kept my faith strong and after 9 months, I delivered a beautiful girl! All is well that ends well.
